Our beauty rituals are the first thing we do in the morning and the last thing we do at night. What a powerful thing it is to stand in front of the mirror and contemplate our skin. Depending on how we feel we look that day, we might be pleased or disappointed, even stressed, and can carry those emotions through our day or night. But mostly we tend to perform these rituals mindlessly out of a conviction that the latest science can change our appearance.
I believe these rituals should not only perform but should please our senses, uplift us emotionally and enrich us spiritually. With Kahina-Giving Beauty I set out to create a beautiful, organic line of skincare based on good, clean ingredients that really work, and to inspire women to look beyond the mirror and to connect with women across the world and to feel good about helping them. . By creating a consciousness around our daily routines, by being mindful of the small, seemingly unimportant things we do, we can learn to appreciate these small tasks, to enjoy them more and to imbue them with meaning and importance.
I’d love to hear from readers about how you create meaning in your daily lives.
