Do you ship to international locations?

Currently we ship only within the United States. However, some of our online & international retail partners may ship to you. Please write to info@givingbeauty.com for more information.

What payment options does Kahina offer?

We accept most leading credit cards and PayPal.

What shipping alternatives are available?

Ground shipping in the US is available for $8.98. Orders are processed & shipped in 1-3 business days, typically within 48 hours. Expedited UPS shipping is available for a fee.

What is your return policy?

Your satisfaction is extremely important to us. If you are not happy with your Kahina Giving Beauty products for any reason, we will refund the cost of your purchase. Please contact us at customerservice@givingbeauty.com within 30 days of placing your order and, upon receipt of returned items, we will issue a refund.

Will you ship to a PO box? What about an APO box?

Our carrier is UPS, which will not ship to a PO box. Please do not enter a PO box in your shipping information. It is currently our policy to ship to APO boxes via USPS, at our standard $8.98 flat-rate.

My bottle says I can return for refill. How do I go about doing this?

Our refill policy was created with the best of intentions, but after investigating further, we found that the carbon footprint from shipping the bottles to be refilled, and then re-shipped, was actually greater than simply recycling them at your home. As we phase in our new packaging, this policy will no longer be advertised.

Do you accept orders by phone?

Yes. You can call us at 646.841.3468 during business hours Monday through Friday 10 AM – 6 PM (EST).

Where is Giving Beauty located?

Giving Beauty is based in New York and partners with argan businesses based in Morocco.

Do you send free samples?

We send free samples with any purchase. Samples are limited to those we have in stock. If you do not receive a sample with your order, you’ve ordered every product for which a sample is available. We regrettably cannot send samples without an order.

ARGAN OIL

Won’t oil clog my pores?

Argan oil is easily absorbed into the skin and won’t clog pores. Some other oils, such as mineral oil, should be avoided as it sits on the surface of the skin without penetrating and has no cosmetic value.

Is it possible to eat argan oil?

Yes. Argan oil has excellent nutritional properties and has been shown to decrease cholesterol. Our argan oil is cosmetic grade, which means it has been cold-pressed to preserve the beneficial cosmetic properties of the oil. For the culinary oil, argan nuts are roasted before the oil is extracted to impart a nuttier taste. It is still possible to eat the cosmetic oil, and it is delicious for dipping bread. However, it is an expensive use for our argan oil.

What is the shelf life of argan oil and your other products? How do I best store them?

Our Argan oil has a two-year shelf life from the time of extraction. We buy our oil in small batches several times a year, so you can be sure that Kahina argan oil is fresh when it reaches our customers. Once opened, our products do not need to be refrigerated; however, they should be kept in stable temperatures and, if possible, away from direct light. That said, refrigerating products, especially if you live in a hot climate, will help preserve them. Refrigerating our eye products (Eye Serum + Eye Cream) makes them more effective at reducing puffiness. Products are best when used within one year of opening.

I’ve noticed variations in the scent of your argan oil. Why?

We personally source our argan oil from different cooperatives throughout southwest Morocco. Cooperatives in different regions produce oil with slightly different aromas- some fruitier, some nuttier. As with any crop, variations can occur depending on climate and the quality of the harvest that year.

How can I use Kahina Argan Oil in my hair?

Argan oil is an excellent conditioner for hair. It depends on your hair type whether or not you should leave it in or not. While argan oil is a lightweight oil, fine hair can appear greasy if oil is left in. For coarser dry hair, argan oil is a great way to tame the frizz. To condition and style damp or dry hair, apply 2-3 drops into the ends and work upwards, making sure to avoid applying at the hairline. To give you scalp and hair a deep moisturizing treatment, massage argan oil into scalp, leave for ten minutes, and wash as usual.
